Working on interview outfits!
I have an interview tomorrow! Not for a job… still working on that BUT I do have an interview for a great opportunity through a school organization. (I will keep you posted on how it goes!)
For now it is a great excuse to start thinking of outfits for professional settings now that I am no longer in high school. Yesterday I used a zip car on campus to get to the mall. (I haven’t driven in over a month because I have been at school so that was an adventure in itself.) I picked up the number one professional wardrobe staple, a nude two-inch shoe. My closet full of four-inch heels I knew would NOT be the first impression I am hoping to portray!
I then skimmed through the pieces I own that could be dressed up. This orange dress is my go to dress for almost any occasion. I have worn it with my cowboy boots and I have worn it with the four-inch killers, it feels like anything goes when I slip it on! I then pulled out my linen skirt, the linen is great for the hot months, and paired it with a top I got this summer but haven’t yet gotten to wear. The next piece I pulled was the black pencil skirt. I love this skirt because it goes with everything! I’m a little worried it’s on the short side so I plan to look for a longer one. The first top I put with it is a bright print that I feel is too much for an interview. I want them to remember me not the shirt I was wearing! Lastly I pulled out the classic white button up with a detailed front to put underneath a hounds tooth cardigan. As a University of Alabama student the hounds tooth is a must have piece in your closet.
(Excuse my poor images.. figuring it out! Next time I may just go outside!)
